Tina Ellertson, Atlanta Beat terminate contract, magicTalk signs three more players

Tina Ellertson and the Atlanta Beat have mutually terminated their contract, while magicTalk SC signed Megan Schnur, Sarah Huffman, and Australian Lisa DeVanna, who has played the past two years with the club formerly known as the Washington Freedom. In other WPS news, the league officially announced that the Atlanta Beat signed Cat Whitehill and that Sky Blue FC has signed Swedish international Therese Sjögran, who join the team in Turkey next month.

WPS also announced Friday that the Western New York Flash signed Canadian midfielder Kelly Parker and English international forward Gemma Davison. Both Parker and Davison played for the Buffalo Flash of the W-League last year. Parker played for Sky Blue FC in 2009.

DeVanna is currently in Australia, playing for the Brisbane Roar in the Westfield W-League Grand Final against Sydney FC. The match begins at 3 p.m. local time on Saturday (11 p.m. Eastern time Friday). Read the full preview of the W-League Grand Final here.
