magicJack owner Dan Borislow hit with fine, suspension

Women’s Professional Soccer (WPS) announced on its website Sunday that magicJack owner Dan Borislow has been fined 10,000 and has been “suspended from serving in any technical capacity for magicJack for two (2) games, effective immediately.” This is for what WPS states as: “public statements (made by Borislow) that are derogatory and not in the best interests of the league.” This is the third time that magicJack has been penalized this season. WPS officially announces a number of magicTalk SC signings

After nearly two months of speculation and rumors as to which players would end up on magicTalk SC/Washington Freedom, Women’s Professional Soccer (WPS) officially announced a number of signings Thursday and Friday. Dan Borislow talks about Marta’s signing with WNY Flash

Just four days ago, magicTalk SC owner Dan Borislow talked about wanting to sign five-time FIFA World Player of the Year, Brazilian Women’s National Team forward Marta. But Tuesday night, the Western New York Flash announced that they had acquired Marta, taking over the third year of her contract. Late Tuesday night, Borislow told Our Game Magazine in an email: “This came as a total surprise. I am glad she will be playing in the league. She will discover we are the team to beat, so I hope she is at the top of her game when she plays us.”
