The highly anticipated match between the U.S. and Canada at the Four Nations Tournament in Chongqing, China turned out to be a classic. The U.S. held off a surge by Canada in the final four minutes of stoppage time to hang on for the 2-1 win. The U.S. Women’s National Team suffered its second loss in its last five games, this time falling to Sweden, 2-1, to open the Four Nations Tournament in Chongqing, China. In the second game of the tournament, Canada fell behind 2-0 in the 36th minute, but came back to beat China, 3-2, on a stoppage-time goal by Christine Sinclair. (more…)
