More countries release their rosters for Algarve Cup

A number of teams that are competing in the Algarve Cup in Portugal have announced their rosters. The U.S. roster was released last week, while Sweden and Finland both unveiled their rosters Tuesday. Other teams that have their rosters set include Norway, Denmark, Portugal, and Wales. Romanian club Cluj announced that nearly its entire starting 11 will play for Romania in Portugal. (more…)


Therese Sjögran will join Sky Blue FC during exhibition tournament in Turkey

Sky Blue FC will head to Turkey in March to play in a four-team exhibition tournament. The WPS club will face LdB FC Malmö of Damallsvenskan, Russian club FK Energiya, and Fortuna Hjørring from Denmark. At the tournament, LdB FC Malmö will officially loan out Therese Sjögran to Sky Blue FC, according to the Swedish club. (more…)


Kopparbergs/Göteborg FC wins Internationales Frauen-Hallenfußball-Turnier um den Pokal der Sparkasse Bielefeld

Kopparbergs/Göteborg FC won the Internationales Frauen-Hallenfußball-Turnier um den Pokal der Sparkasse Bielefeld over the weekend. The international indoor tournament held in Bielefeld, Germany featured seven teams from four countries, and Kopparbergs/Göteborg FC defeated FCR Duisburg  of Germany, 5-0, in the deciding match.
