MRI comes back negative on Cristiane’s shoulder

By Beto Alfaya: MRI results came back Saturday and revealed that Brazilian forward Cristiane will not need surgery on her shoulder. Cristiane was injured Thursday night against Mexico in the Torneio Internacional Cidade de Sao Paulo. She will miss the rest of the tournament. But the good news for Brazil is that Cristiane’s recovery time will be two months (not four if she had needed the surgery), and she should be ready to go for the 2011 Women’s World Cup in Germany.
